Making Strides in Emotional BehaviorSep 13, 2023
"The start of 2022 was a rough one for our family. My 3 year old son Noah was diagnosed with Autism and my 18 month old Jacob was struggling with sensory concerns. Noah was struggling with emotional outbursts at the drop of a hat and Jacob was head banging anytime he would get frustrated. Our home life was so hectic and my heart was hurting watching my boys struggle with daily tasks. So, I was seeking help for both of my little guys that didn’t involve medications, invasive procedures or traumatic exams.
On the advice of my friends, I took them both to see Dr. Luke and Dr. Lydia. From the minute I walked in the door, I knew this place was special. They took time to really listen, get to know my boys and assess their needs. After Jacob’s first session, he was literally so relaxed that he slept in his car seat the entire way home. For the first time in a while, I saw some peace in his face. Noah would also lean into his treatments as if to say “Ahhhhhhh.” They went from tentatively walking into the office to running in with big smiles and trying to get to the table first.
I can’t tell you what a blessing it is to find practitioners that address the source of neurological stress instead of chasing the symptoms. Noah and Jacob continue to make progress and I’m seeing dramatic changes in our household. As a mother, finding some relief for my kids is truly priceless and I look forward to watching them flourish. I hope Dr. Luke and Dr. Lydia know how much they’ve changed our lives."
