Often times, when nasal congestion builds up, babies and young kids get ear infections. This is because when fluid cannot drain properly, it can build up behind the ears (Eustachian Tubes) and cause swelling. Swollen eustachian tubes can become blocked, causing fluids to build up in the middle ear. This fluid can become infected and cause the symptoms of an ear infection.
When Bea first came to the office she had been suffering with chronic ear infections, and her parents had a surgical consultation for ear tubes scheduled for her. Bea is happy to share that since starting conservative chiropractic care, she has had almost no ear infections, and her surgical consultation was cancelled!
