Dr. Luke thought he wanted to be a sports doc when he went into chiropractic school, but then he met his amazing wife, Cheryl, and became a dad and everything changed for him. He saw other parents struggling first hand and knew he wanted to make an impact in his community.

Common Questions & Answers

Q: Do we accept insurance?

A: We are a cash-based practice - which means that we can print the codes your insurance company would need proof of, but you would have to bill them yourself. You will always be considered out-of-network with them, and will be responsible for paying for your appointment at the time of service. If your insurnace company covers the cost of out-of-network chiropractic care, they would personally send you a reimbursement check. This information is between you and your insurance company - they will never communicate with us since we are not in network with them. You can however, use your flex spending account to pay for your visit.

 

Q: How much will care cost?

A: A new patient appointment (which includes an exam with our doctor care team, state of the art insight neurological scanning, and a doctors report of finding) is $67. Any adjustment is $42. The amount and frequency of adjustments needed are personalized to each patient in particular based on conditions and goals. Once we make progress towards those needs and can enter health maintenance, we do offer a variety of financial plans to keep care afforable for your entire family.

 

Q: Is it safe to be adjusted if you're pregnant?

A: Dr. Luke is certified in Webster's Technique - which is extra training in adjusting pregnant women in a gentle way that relaxes ligaments and allows baby to have some more room. This gentle way of creating more room for baby can help a breech baby flip to the proper head down position on their own!

 

Q: How old does a child need to be to seen at the office?

A: An adjustment for a baby looks much different than an adjustment for an adult. Babies are soft & quishy everywhere, so adjusting them is very genlte - it's about the same pressure as checking to see if a tomato is ripe, which means as soon as your baby comes earthside, they can be adjusted by a chiropractor that is trained on working with babies. Dr Luke is a member of the ICPA (International Chiropractic Prediatric Association), as well as a leadership committee that trains other chiropractors in pediatrics around the United States!

 
Q: How long will the first appointment take?

A: It's best to plan on being at our office for about 45 minutes for your first appointment with us

 

 Q: Does the office do manual adjustments or use tools?

A: That answer depends on the patient! You'll notice a tool being used in some of pictures with kiddos during their adjustment. This has been given the technical term of the "popcorn machine" by many little kids because of the gentle vibrations it causes which helps alleviate subluxations. Some adults require manual adjustments, and some adults prefer that we use our chiropractic drop table for adjustments so it makes it almost unrecogniziable that you're being adjusted. Each person's treatment is based on their specific needs and prefrences. 

 

Q: What are the scans that we hear your office talk about?

A: Our office utilizes state-of-the-art technology that lets us see exactly what's going on with your nervous system. Your nerves are the super-information highway of your body, and roadblocks (subluxations) can slow those messages from your body to brain, or stop them all together. Our scans are a computerized, non-invasive & painless test consisting of thermal, heart rate variability, and surface electromyography (SEMG). These give us a picture of everything going on inside that you may not be able to feel. Our scans use temperature, and pulse measurement, to detirmine results - meaning they are so gentle and fast that even newborns can be scanned (and most will just sleep through them). 

 

Q: Will I be adjusted during my first appointment?

A: We typically don't adjust patients during the first visit. There are a couple of expections however: if the patient is a baby who is really struggling (colic, constipation, etc), or if the patient is pregnant and either in lots of pain, has a breech baby, or is due any moment, we will always do our best to make sure you leave office feeling better than when you arrived, but we have to always make sure you are safe! Some patients may require x-rays to be completed before our team can see exactly what's going on and how to safely adjust you!
